Man rushed to hospital in critical state

VANDERBIJLPARK - A 21-year-old man suffered a non-fatal drowning incident here at a caravan park earlier this afternoon.

It is alleged that shortly before 3 pm paramedics from ER24 arrived at a swimming pool where they found a first-responder attending to the man. He was in a serious condition at the time. According to bystanders it is unknown for how long the man was underwater. A first-responder on scene administered first aid until paramedics arrived.

He was rushed to Sebokeng hospital in a critical state. The exact circumstances surrounding the incident is not yet known. - Werner Vermaak ER24 Spokesperson
