MAN SHOT AND KILLED IN HIJACKING

SEBOKENG. – Police here are investigating after a 49-year-old man was shot and killed in a hijacking.

The hijacking occurred next to Saul Tsotetsi Sports Complex in Zone 14.

“All the suspects are still at large and the red VW Golf 5 has not yet been recovered," said Police Spokesperson, Fikile Funda.

Funda adds that Sedibeng cluster, which includes Sebokeng, Vanderbijlpark, Oranje farms, Vereeniging and De-deur police stations carried out operations and visibility campaigns over the festive season..

“As a result, over 200 people were arrested for housebreaking, robbery and common robbery, common assault and assault with grievous bodily harm(GBH), possession of drugs, business robberies, hijackings, murders, Attempted murders and ATM bombings. ”
