UPDATE: TRANSFORMER EXPLODES IN VEREENIGING

VEREENIGING. - A transformer exploded here at Mittal Works earlier this morning.

At 10:36 a.m. the fire department was still busy putting the fire out.

Democratic Alliance Councilor, Elize Aucamp, says that they will only be able to determine how big the damage is once the transformer is dry.

Currently, Unitaspark, Duncanville, Arcon Park, Three Rivers and Vereeniging CBD are without electricity.
