PATIENT SURVIVES HORROR CRASH

VEREENIGING. – A passenger here has survived a horror crash when his car cannoned into the front of a truck.

According to information made known to the Vaalnewsread, the truck was stationary on the wrong side of the road when the small Chevrolet cannoned into it at approximately 07:00 a.m. this morning (01 February) on Houtkop Road.

The vehicle landed under the left front side of the truck.

It is alleged that when ER24 paramedics arrived on scene, they still found the man seated in the drivers seat breathing. Although the car is a total right-off, the man got a second chance to live. He sustained minor injuries.

It is believed that the local Fire Department had to cut the vehicle open to free the man. The front of the vehicle was found a few metres from the truck.

The patient was transported to Sebokeng Hospital for further treatment.
