PEACEHAVEN. - Four people were injured here Sunday afternoon (18 March), one of them critically, when a light motor vehicle crashed into a tree off the General Hertzog Road.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find a wrecked light motor vehicle on the side of the road against a tree.

The four occupants had already been pulled from the vehicle by members of the public. Paramedics assessed the patients and found that a woman, believed to be in her 20s, had sustained numerous injuries and was in a critical condition.

The three other patients were found to have sustained minor to moderate injuries. The patients were treated for their injuries and the critically injured woman provided with advanced life support interventions.

Once treated, the woman was airlifted to a nearby hospital by the ER24 Oneplan Helicopter for urgent treatment.

The remaining patients were transported by Provincial Services to Sebokeng and Kopanong Provincial Hospitals for treatment.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
